During my stay in Portland, Ive had people ask me if I am doing a new company as if I have to stay in Philadelphia otherwise I am promoting another network marketing company Network marketing is not the only thing existing in my life. Network marketing itself has been a great way to make new connections for me to venture outside of network marketing Heres my take on network marketing and I could care less about haters and disagreements. This is how I built up my following in the first place by always expressing my thoughts and be authentic. Not everyone will like you and I.. You are just here to play the numbers game to build up a following slowly but surely There are way too many companies out there now. This isnt pre-1990s anymore when there was only very few companies and charging people $500-1000+ to Signup was the norm. The problem with network marketing or should I say MLM is that most people who have money and influence will not join so that majority of people who join are trying to live the dream that these companies are painting: live in the beach, happy family outside of mansion with 2 Ferraris, freedom to travel, etc. Unfortunately, most people just become more broke paying monthly, going to events, hotels, airplanes, etc. to try to hold on to the possibility that one day they will strike it big. People who dont have influence or money usually dont have connections of people with money to participate. Ok, some might join, then what? Now you have to worry about retention. Sure, you can keep cheerleading and rar rar hype it up with meetings and events, but at the end of the day, they just wanna make money and feed family What do you see now in 2014... Theres like thousands of new companies popping up. Most people know what internet is. Theres too much distraction.. Shiny objects promising less work, less money, but easier to make millions. No recruiting, massive spillover, sit back and sip tea!!! Sure you can do offline marketing, but your buddies will want to do research.. Google up some reviews, and find lead generation systems or the top recruiter of your company to join with. Every week, a new company comes out that has better product or better comp plan... The scientist has one more degree than the one before. You are also competing with upline and cross line. You deal with drama, comp plan change, owner change, product quality change, culture change, etc. Theres so many variables that there isnt such thing as walkaway residual income in network marketing. The top people are just selling you the dream and hope you will keep paying and bring more people in. Guess who are they hanging out with? Most likely not you unless you are significant in the company or industry in general This isnt company specific but industry as a whole. People can find good products and services outside of your company The failure rate in this industry will always be 99%+ .. From time to time the ponzi money games pop up that lure the people who struggle in this industry the dream to strike it rich. People take out mortgages and loans to try to make it big I might be young and all but certainly not drinking Kool Aid. Youre either my friend or not.. I have kept it real all along. Use this industry for the networking purpose. Just my two cents
