During my time on the frontlines in the Brooklyn College student union we went through some messed up stuff. Arrests & ass whoopings galore. And we thought that was messed up. 43 student activists in Mexico have been kidnapped & murdered, their bodies burned, their bones crushed and put into garbage bags and thrown in the river. Similar to our law enforcement agencies, police in Mexico work in conjunction with the government to violently silence dissent and opposition to the oppressive status quo. If there was ever a time to become a global community that is accountable for one another and holds those who should be serving us, not murdering us accountable, it is right now. Yes I said kidnapped, murdered, burned and crushed to be discarded in the river. Yes I said the police. Yes I said FORTY THREE STUDENTS. But you keep worrying about what so and so wore to such and such event and whos dating whom. Wake the hell up. #helluvagoodmorningpostornah
