During one of Indias largest festivals Dasara there is a tradition and custom called STICK FIGHT being practiced in one of the south Indias villages,Kurnool, Adhrapradesh state, over the centuries.During which the devotees/villagers are drunk(reported as per the TV channel)and get into literal fight with big sticks(The end of the sticks are fixed with sharp protruding blades and nails) until they are bruised and bleed profusely, there are incidents where people die and some times children are crushed in stampede.
