During the 1980s and 1990s I was part of an organisation that hosted delegations of Palestinian children on holiday in Scotland. Our children overcame language barriers, as only children can, and firm friendships were established despite obvious differences. After two weeks many tears were shed when the delegations left for home. It is a terrible thought that some of these children will now be parents and grandparents grieving at the burial of their own murdered children. Not in my name.
