During the 70s, Sydneys leading radio station, 2SM, put on a series of free concerts. This 1979 concert in Victoria Park on Sunday 18 February, included Dragon, The Angels, Split Enz, Kevin Borich Express and The Sports. This concert turned out to be the last one at Victoria Park after Sydney City Council banned outdoor shows there following complaints about crowd behaviour and damage. Apparently, Doc Neeson was hit on the head and knocked out by a flying beer can. I cant remember that, but I do remember him climbing up on the stage scaffolding. (JPJ Audio)
