During the Labor Unity exhibit at 119SEIU Bread & Roses Gallery, folks who came through responded to the 3 questions that were previously posed here. What we choose to see and to ignore. #openyoureyes • My grandmother – her large strong hands gave loving care and made delish food and ironed and . . . . • Clean transparent windows in as much as the vibrant screens we look at all the time . . . scientifics of the unseen work . . . .cleaning thinking . . . knowledge utility we mostly give for granted • Day laborers • The art of hanging in my room that I have yet to show • Transit workers union and my grandfather, my students – solidarity forever! One love!!! • I would like to thank my Mother for giving birth to me & raising, for my father being a stay at home Dad, for both of them being my teachers, mentors, life coaches, teaching me to cool, clean, have integrity & Love. • Awesome Momma • Mamie Marie, Miles Willis, my mom ☺ • The enslaved people who built this country What is your labor of love? • Writing • Singing • Education, the arts, culture of Hip Hop • I can think of no greater labor and of no greater joy than to forgive others as well as one self. It is a true act of love and worth the struggle and the fight. • To my VP Carolyn for 25 long years. The best. • Helping to raise & nourish a loving healthy family, learning & applying new knowledge to my life • Teaching, writing • Everything I do is a labor of love because love is so many things to me. Art, performance, creation, social justice theater, providing opportunities and aiding the end of struggles for artists, working for justice. Meaning it. Not giving up. Stepping up. Creating, dreaming > moving into action.
