During the V World Indigenous Business Forum the Canadian Ambassador spoke about Canadas contribution of $10.6 Million to improve the living conditions and increase the average incomes of 30.000 families in Solola Prosol Solola: “Canadas investment has helped local authorities to develop and put in place economic development plans, as well as public and private investment strategies. It has also fostered the main economic motors of the area (tourism and agriculture) by helping producers of coffee and vegetables, associations and community companies to improve their productivity and develop market strategies to diversify their services and yearly production. Efforts are also being made to expand the markets for these agricultural products at the national and international levels. Prodcuts like snow peas and green beans are found in markets in the United States and Europe. Other products like green onions are sold in well known supermarket chains like Walmart.”
