During the discussion about police brutality, most of the attention goes to young black men who are abused or killed by white cops. There is a good reason for this. People seem to complain that, Wheres the outrage when black cops kill white kids?!. Being jealous that more attention is paid to white on black police brutality is like being jealous that a sibling is getting more of your parents attention because they arent feeling well. ALL police brutality and abuse is bad. Abuse against black people is a bigger problem because BLACK PEOPLE ARE UNFAIRLY TARGETED BY POLICE! They are at higher risk, ergo, we try and fix that first. Because guess what! As it stands now, in some jurisdictions, there are black people who are genuinely afraid to stand up to police abuse in the form of protest because they know they will be the first ones arrested. That is not a society in which we should live in. Entire communities of good, law-abiding kind people still live in fear of the police. Unacceptable.
