During the early morning hours of 12/17, a couple woke to find their Bellevue home had been burglarized while they slept. After reporting the crime to Bellevue PD, they notified their credit card company of the stolen credit cards and learned one of them had been used in Auburn. They used an app to try and locate a phone that was stolen during the burglary and discovered the phone showed to be in Auburn. They arrived in Auburn while tracking the phone and found it in the Safeway parking lot and determined the phone was inside a car. The victims were able to confirm this because a male suspect in the car was wearing the female victim’s stolen scarf and was carrying her stolen purse! Officers arrived and arrested the suspect. After an area search a second suspect was arrested. Police were able to recover items stolen in the Bellevue burglary, and also found the suspects were driving a car stolen from Auburn. Officers were also able to tie the suspects to two other Auburn stolen car cases and several vehicle prowls that occurred in Auburn. Additionally, the suspects were found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The suspects are facing numerous felony charges. Long story short.... Crime doesnt pay folks!
