During the last 12 months I put only 3800 miles on my car. Last week I put 2400 on it. But, despite the reason for the trip, it was great. Had dinner with an old friend, Diane, lunch with Janie and Aunt Martha, spent two days with Kay and Fred, ate all the Coal Region Foods that are bad for me, but delicious nonetheless and got the unpleasant business out of the way. On the return trip I stopped in Williamsburg....lovely, but somehow disappointing, saw Mt. Vernon....very impressive, enjoyed Savannah, again, then drove home. Of course my friend Linda had taken care of my place in my absence. Thank you.
