During the last week of the spring session, Cam Broten and our NDP team focused on many issues, including: how the premier and advanced education minister have been dismissing significant concerns about what is happening at the University of Saskatchewan; how people with intellectual disabilities are being warehoused in hospitals for years at a time; how the government continues to ignore the growing calls for a comprehensive poverty reduction strategy; how this government is hiding more and more debt in our Crown corporations; how this government is actually paying senior health care administrators a performance bonus -- a Lean pay bump -- simply for holding Lean events, like the paper-airplane-folding seminars that many front-line health care workers are being forced made to attend; and how this government is largely neglecting the basics that really matter in health care, seniors care and education.
