During the late 60s I used to go to the city, Johannesburg with my mom and when we get on train stations and platforms there were signs that read, Europeans Only(As according to their original country) Others read, Africans Only (As the indigenous people) then in other amenities there were Indians Only(As according to their original country) Later on in the early 70s the signs that read Europeans Only were replaced by Whites Only In SA even today Indians are still called Indians. Can somebody explain why did the race group strategically change their signs from Europeans to Whites Was it indigenisation strategy or what? Were they fearing that they might be chased back........ Why are other race groups Imdians, Portuguese, Cubans, English, Italian, Germans,Sweedish, Russian, French etc still being called as according to their original countries even if they were born here? They quickly and intelligently stole the African title and called themselves Afrikaners I understand the term Afrikaner to refer to someone who originates from Afrika. IS Africa their origin? Are they Afrikaners? Why cant we accept the truth and call them ...Hollanders or Dutch? ASKHULUMENI.
