During the reverse lunges yesterday we had some people ask about how to fail safely. The best bet is to ask your coach to spot you if youre unsure about making the lift; but sometimes it happens unexpectedly. In this video we show you how to safely miss during the reverse lunge. First - keep your torso upright and keep most of your weight on your front leg. Notice the shoulder, hip, and knee are all in line. Second - remain tight and when you find yourself stuck at the bottom point your back toe so the bar will roll over (do not drop the bar before youve reached the bottom). Third - drop the bar and it will safely land above your back leg. Remember the best bet is to have a coach or partner spot you during your lift.
