During these times of high racial emotions due to what has been - TopicsExpress

During these times of high racial emotions due to what has been happening in Ferguson, Id like to share what has been on my heart for a long time as Ferguson is not the first time we have all faced these racial demons. I went to a highly black populated 5th and 6th grade school in Louisiana when I was just a kid. My mother Rachel Salsman brought me up with love in my heart for all people because she taught me to love all of #Gods people. (She taught me that I may not need to like everyone, but God does command me to love everyone.) To be honest, I have always got along with other nationalities very well all my life. I myself have been looked down on, and not for being white, but for being poor financially. When I was a young teen, I dated a girl whos parents owned a popular Italian Restaurant in Sterling Height, MI and her dad Luciano hated my lil White Poor Ass and made that fact known for 3 years as I kissed his Italian ass. Just ask my mother or some of my #OldSchool friends on #Facebook. (I am sure some will ring out as one of my buddies dated the same girl before me. And even funnier, her now husband secretly spies on me as my friend over #FB like I dont know or even care. As I know who my real friends are and I also know I have some secret admirers as well. LMFAO) #TrueStory Anyways my point: Everyone in the world deals with #Racism. Is it Right? NO! Does it Suck? Yes! Can we Ourselves choose to be the change we wish to see in the world through our own actions? ABSOLUTELY!!! And I myself choose to be the change as I love all my friends of all colors, shapes, sizes, religions, abilities and super powers. But I also have to share something that has been on my heart for a long time as I am sure it is shared by my many fellow #WHITE brothers and sisters. Being a White Person does not make us any more racist than being any other color in the world. Being racists doesnt ONLY come in one color, shape or size. I am sick of living in fear and being afraid of being called a racist if I proudly admit I am Proud to be a #WhiteAmerican. My favorite Rockstar in the world Kid Rock says it best when he talks about how we should not be ashamed of who we are. That all being said... Let me end this post with this; I am PROUD to be a White American, and I will no longer live in shame or fear because of what other ignorant white people may or may not do. I am Proud! I am Not Perfect, but I am sure NOT Racist!!! BIG Difference!!!
