Dwight Gayle "Relegation really did hit me hard. I was upset at the manner in which we lost the game at Crystal Palace. It is not nice losing any game, but to lose and be relegated on the last day really hit home. "But I want to build on last season. I want to continue scoring goals and contribute to the team, that is my only aim. "There has been speculation, but as a player you have to ignore it. I just want to concentrate on my own performances and not worry about anything else. "It is flattering when clubs are linked with you, but I am contracted to Peterborough United and the most important thing for me at the minute is getting fit and ready for the start of the season." Hopefully the chairman is serious about keeping Dwight at the club, as he is a fantastic player and hopefully this year he can strive to score the most goals in the league.
