Dya know, I love seeing all the old photos on this page. If it is to win the lottery of life to be born in England, then surely it must be a treble roll over to be born in York. Photography is a passion of mine, and it captured my imagination to find that many of the troops in the first world war carried what is known as a VPK, or Vest Pocket Kodak. While I havent managed to track a decent one down as yet I did manage to find this. Its a Kodak number one, based on the hugely successful VPK and was manufactured between 1926 and 1931. While I can almost certainly guarantee it will never be used in anger it does make a lovely ornament. I gave this picture of it the old treatment.. :)
