Dyeing question. I have yards of silver stretch velvet, which Id love to dye burgundy. I dont know the fabric content, but Im guessing 100% poly. 1. Would Idye poly work? jacquardproducts/idye.html 2. How many yards can I cram into a enamel canner on the stove? (I no longer have a top load washing machine) 3. The material would be for a cape so we are talking 6 yards minimum here- How much freakin dye? 4. Cut out the pieces first ? ...and take a chance that I can reach some likeness of red-burgandy? 5. Ferrggit about it and use the burgundy fleece I bought the other day, instead? (stretch velvet is a pain) 6. Dear DOG why am I planning a cape in this weather?
