Dyno Chart Comparisons with my motor Vs. Harshals Vs Ichis Vs. Gabe I ran over to TSO today to try out my stock carb and air box setup with my motor. I wanted to see if its an improvement or a waste of energy to run the stock setup. We are really only testing my jetting and adjusting air/fuel in these runs so things like throttle response and whether or not Im running the best jet needle or slide just have to wait. The first two photos show simple comparisons. The first chart shows my motor and Harshals motors with averages. We are running the same motor spec, fuel, exhaust, V-Force 3 cage and PWK28mm carb. The only difference is that Harshal is using the stock air box and Im running a pod filter. My motor is in blue and Harshals in red. The second graph shows my motor only. The difference here is between my PWK carb setup and the stock carb with air box. The blue line is the PWK carb and the red line is the stock carb with air box. Both lines are best runs with proper air/fuel ratios. Essentially the final runs after tuning. The final graph shows a list of bikes. Mine, Ichis, Harshals, Gabriel Rodriguez, and even Leonards KX65 motor with a custom exhaust he made for his bike. This chart i took a pic of just to show you the wild variations in tune. Lots of differences there but no enormous advantage in horsepower. Everyone is tuning their bikes for specific horsepower hits. Everyone has a different idea of what they want. I have more pics of more charts but I thought this would be enough for tonight. I plan to still bring out two carb and shock setups on Saturday to test. I just wanted to see if I was running too lean with my stock carb choice. Final stock carb/airbox tuning result? with the stock 230 main I made 15.6hp at one point. I was too lean though. I ended up under 15hp but with a strong air/fuel. Final jetting for stock carb..... Pilot: 40 Main: 280 Needle: 3rd from top Air/Fuel screw: 1.5 turns Float height: Stock Thank you to Sunline Energy for all of the racing support Leonard of TSO racing for the dyno tuning. Racers Machine for the motor assembly and advice.
