E-NUGGETS: You are not ALONE - Not FORGOTTEN! When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. (Psalm 27:10) I have learnt in this world that having several people around us still does not erase the feelings of aloneness. It is no longer surprising to see more and more people feeling the sense of loneliness despite the growing numbers of people around them! We have divorced spouses, orphans, homeless people, elderly parents and, perhaps saddest of all, abandoned children. This then begs the question as to how or why people can still feel alone in this growing crowded world? There was a man who was abandoned by his closest and dearest friends! No one was ever so alone as this man! He was forsaken, but not abandoned! The Lord Jesus in His discuss with His disciples said. Behold, the hour cometh, He had said, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me (John 16:32) Because of the heaviness of our sins upon Him, God forsook Him so that we can have access to God and NEVER to be alone again! His death has granted us a clear and assured passage by grace to press into Gods presence with boldness! (Hebrews 4:16). Though He left, but not before He left us with a comforting promise in John 14:18-19. I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you. Just a little while now, and the world will not see Me any more, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also. By christ suffering alone, no one else need ever be alone again. Hebrew 13:5 says: Be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee Do you feel abandoned, feeling as though your cry for intervention has fallen on deaf ears? Stand firm, hold your ground, hold on to His promises! Be grateful and thankful for what you have. He shall visit you in the course of time! Be of good cheer, He has overcome for you!
