E-Sales Manager (Clinical Solutions) Elsevier - Cairo, Amman, Gulf Job description Job Purpose: Maximize sales of e-health information and decision support products to hospitals, medical schools, group practices, libraries and other clinical institutions, in line with our international e-strategy; through existing customers and by identifying new sales opportunities for the portfolio of electronic products; managing the complete e-sales process in an independent and highly professional way. Will be the face of Elsevier by representing a global market leader. Therefore professional conduct, integrity of business and quality of customer communication is critical. Main Activities and Responsibilities: Achievement of Sales Targets: Plan and implement sales plans on an annual basis and achieve annual sales goals. Continually re-assess and adapt long term plans to react to customer and business needs. Stay abreast of changes and trends in the market and from competitors and show an understanding of the implications of such changes on our business. Regularly review and adapt e-sales strategies accordingly. Build, maintain and upgrade the database of customers and qualified potential customers across main target groups for new business development. Development of marketing plans in consultation with the relevant product marketing group. Preparation and delivery of strong individual and group presentations using appropriate formats and delivery mechanism. Extensive travel to accounts, potential accounts, professional conferences and exhibitions throughout the territory. Provide on-going training and after-sales support to existing customers and exploit up-selling opportunities. Negotiation and development of complex multi year (government) contracts via tender. Display sound product knowledge on the full suite of electronic products and demonstrate technical knowledge and understanding, through attending internal company meetings in a proactive way. Demonstrate an understanding of other Elsevier products outside of the electronic arena and their place within the market. Liaison and internal communication with relevant colleagues at national and international level and on a regular basis, including advice in the following areas: new product development, market evaluation, sales strategies relating to new and existing e-products, pricing recommendations, sales staff training, new territories, share experience and successes. Reporting back on activities and expenditure on regular basis and providing forecast data when required. Liaise with ECS for internal processing as well as utilizing CRM (Customer Relation Management).
