EACH OF US MUST DO OUR PART TO MAKE UP THE WHOLE For the past couple of days, maybe a week or two, my soul has felt unease. It has been bone chilling cold outside and for at least a week inside my house because I wasnt ready to turn on my furnace heater. When I finally did, I was excited to come home to my warm cozy house last Wednesday, after prayer. To my surprise when I walked into my house, IT WAS FREEZING COLD. I was NOT a happy camper at all. I had to walk around with my coat on until I allowed one room to warm up with my space heater. Now mind you, for a month I have been satisfied with my space heater (knowing that I had a working furnace, but I did not want to turn on the heater). So why was I upset when I found out the furnace wasnt working. I had to check my attitude and make myself grateful, for I could have been under a box on lower wacker drive (teary eye). So I shut up complaining mentally and slept with my house coat on (still blessed and not realizing it). Of course, I had a pro come out and resolve the issue. Now, each time I walk into my home and embrace this heat I cant help but think about who doesnt have heat. NOT comfortable with that at all. So the Holy Spirit beganed to deal with me re MY responsibility to those who are less fortunate. Then to hear Pastor Micheal Pfleger speak on such today confirmed Deep Cleaning, Ltd must plays its role ACTIVELY by helping the poor. You dont have to wait to do something on a GRAND scale, just do the little bit that God gives you to do now. Someone will see your efforts and be encourage to take a ACTIVE role in their community, then someone will see the one you encouraged and begin to play an ACTIVE role in their community. Its called the domino effect. Why this short story/testimony. Because with each of us playing our role as children of GOD, we can make up the whole. I really encourage you today, NOT to become comfortable in your little world, BUT get out there and help someone who has less than you. Lets be like Jesus and sincerely make a difference and IMPACT our world. Isnt this what living for Jesus really about! Like Dr Myles Munroe stated weeks before his death, I want to die empty! And St. Sabina is such a safe haven within the community. It is simply overwhelming to see what you all have created on 79th and Racine. The little pocket impacts people all over the world.
