EARLY MORNING LIFE Good morning! The first part of Luke 6:38 is typically used to get church folks to give (Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.) However, the last part is so key to me (For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you). A better Greek translation is whatever rationale you use to decide how and what you give, will be the same rationale used to give back to you. If you only give when it benefits you, then you will only be given to when it benefits others.
