EASTON POLICE DEPARTMENT TOY DRIVE October 29, 2014 The Easton Police Department Toy Drive has begun its 24th year collecting toys for local children whose families are in need this Christmas. The Easton Police Department will be collecting new and unwrapped toys. The kickoff event was held on October 4, 2014 by the Chesapeake Classic Car Club. We want to thank them for collecting toys for our Toy Drive. The Easton Police Department would also like to thank PetSmart. PetSmart is helping out the Easton Police Department Toy Drive while raising money for PetSmart Charities. Buy and donate a Chance or Lucky toy at PetSmart and 10% of the purchase price goes to PetSmart Charities and the Toys are donated to the Easton Police Department Toy Drive. See PetSmart website, local ad or stop in the Easton Store for more information. Since the inception, the entire community has embraced this program. This was evident from the large amount of donated toys, monetary gifts, and free storage space for the donations. The program helped bring professionals together who shared the same goals, such as the Easton Neighborhood Association, Social Services, and a variety of Foster Care providers. The past success of this single program has allowed families from Easton and all surrounding counties to benefit. Our success has allowed us to assist other local charities fulfill their services of providing donated toys to children. Everyone ever associated with the Easton Police Department Toy Drive should feel proud that this program continues strong into its 24th year. Our deadline for toys being donated will be December 17, 2014. Donations will be accepted at the Easton Police Department 106 W. Dover St. Easton, Maryland. We will have drop boxes at the following locations: The Easton Police Department, 106 W. Dover Street The Easton Town Office, 14 S. Harrison Street Easton Utilities, 201 N. Washington Street Crackerjacks, 7 S. Washington Street Hertrich Chevrolet/GMC Dealership, 7677 Ocean Gateway Motor Vehicle Administration, 9148 Centreville, Road Hyde Park, 9618 Cordova Road The Easton Police Department will be accepting applications for families in need of assistance for this year’s Toy Drive. Applications can be picked up starting November 1, 2014 at the Easton Police Department. All applications have to be completed and returned by December 10, 2014, 4pm for approval.
