EATING TO YOUR BLOOD TYPE Type A People with type A blood have a hard time digesting animal protein, and benefit more from a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and grains. The production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach is low for people with type A, and therefore animal protein is not easily digested. Type A blood people are usually lactose intolerant, too. By eliminating meat and dairy from your diet, you will begin to lose weight and your body will respond positively. Some foods to add to your diet include vegetables oils, vegetables, soy products and fruits. Foods to avoid include meat, cheese and dairy, seafood, cashews, pistachios, Brazil nuts, corn oil, peanut oil, sesame oil, lima beans, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, tamarind beans, navy beans, red beans, tamarind beans, English muffins, high-protein bread, matzos wheat, multi-grain bread, pumpernickel, wheat bran muffins, whole wheat bread, mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, and Worcestershire sauce. Even though Type As do well with almost all fruits and vegetables, some need to be avoided, including tangerines, oranges, plantains, bananas, coconuts, mangoes, melons, papayas, rhubarb, cabbage, mushrooms, olives, peppers, potatoes, yams, eggplant and tomatoes. Different blood types also cant handle certain liquids. If youre Type A, avoid black tea, cayenne tea, corn silk tea, rhubarb tea, beer, distilled liquor, red clover tea, soda and seltzer water. Type MattyBRapslthough blood type B people can handle almost all foods, some foods will cause weight gain. Foods to avoid include corn, buckwheat, sesame seeds, peanuts and lentils. Type Bs cant handle gluten in wheat products, so switching to a gluten-free diet is beneficial. Unlike the other blood types, type Bs can handle dairy products. Types Bs will also benefit from green vegetables, lamb, mutton, rabbit, liver, turkey, eggs, fish, licorice tea, soy, olive and flaxseed oil, oatmeal, millet, rice bran, spelt and puffed rice. Type Bs should also avoid black-eyed peas, garbanzo beans, chicken, shellfish, tomatoes, artichokes, avocados, olives, pumpkin, radishes, mung bean sprouts, radish sprouts, tempeh, coconuts, persimmons, pomegranates, prickly pears, rhubarb, starfruit, allspice, almond extract, barley malt, cinnamon, plain gelatin, black and white pepper, tapioca, ketchup, amaranth, barley, kamut, kasha and rye. Beverages to avoid include hard distilled liquor, seltzer water and soda. Type O Type O is the oldest blood type in human history. Those with type O digest meat better than any other blood type. Unlike type A, type O people produce a lot of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. However, Type Os have a hard time digesting dairy products and food containing gluten. The best diet for a type O is a greater ratio of proteins and less dairy and gluten. It would be best to exclude all dairy and include gluten-free foods in your diet. Foods that will benefit a type O person include sea kelp, cod, bluefish, halibut, mackerel, pike, rainbow trout, red snapper, salmon, sardines, sole, striped bass, sturgeon, swordfish, tilefish, white perch, yellow perch, yellowtail, beef, buffalo, heart, lamb, liver, mutton, veal, venison, kale, spinach and broccoli. Foods to avoid include wheat gluten, corn, kidney beans, navy beans, lentils, cabbage, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, mustard greens, sugar, white flout, bacon, goose, ham, pork, barracuda, catfish, caviar, conch, herring, lox, octopus, Brazil nuts, cashews, litchi, peanuts, peanut butter, pistachios, poppy seeds, bulgur wheat flour, couscous flour, durum wheat flour, graham flour, soba noodles, semolina pasta, sprouted wheat flour, white flour, whole wheat flour, avocado, cabbage, eggplant, shiitake mushrooms, olives, potatoes and alfalfa sprouts. Type AB Blood type AB is the most recent type in terms of human evolution, and is the rarest of all blood types as well. Like type As, people with type AB dont produce a lot of hydrochloric acid in the stomach and therefore have a sensitive digestive system. However, animal protein is still important for type ABs. Foods to eat include lamb, mutton, rabbit, turkey, tofu, seafood, dairy, green vegetables, spirulina, sea kelp and pineapple. Foods to avoid include smoked and cured meats, bacon, beef, buffalo, chicken, duck, goose, ham, heart, pork, veal, venison, quail, anchovies, barracuda, beluga, bluegill bass, clams, conch, crab, crayfish, eel, flounder, frog, haddock, halibut, herring, lobster, lox, octopus, oysters, sea bass, shrimp, sole, striped bass, turtle, yellowtail, American cheese, blue cheese, brie, butter, buttermilk, ice cream, Parmesan, provolone, sherbet, while milk, poppy seeds, filberts, pumpkin seeds, sesame butter (tahini), sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, black beans, fava beans, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, lima beans, black-eyed peas, cornflakes, cornmeal, buckwheat kasha, barley flour, artichoke pasta, soba noodles, artichoke, avocado, white and yellow corn, black olives, peppers, sprouts, bananas, coconuts, guava, oranges, mangos, persimmons, pomegranates, prickly pears, rhubarb and starfruit BON APPETIT
