EBOLA IN PROCESS OF BEING CONFIRMED IN MOBILE ALABAMA!!!! MOBILE, AL (WAFF) - We have confirmed that health officials in Mobile are investigating a suspected case of Ebola. Mobile Fire and Rescue transported a suspected Ebola patient to USA medical center on Tuesday, according to Steve Huffman, the Public Information Officer of Mobile Fire and Rescue. Doctors with the Mobile County Health Department evaluated a patient who reported having gastrointestinal symptoms. The patient also reported having been in contact with people who traveled from the Republic of Congo more than 45 days ago. She was showing symptoms associated with the Ebola virus, but it is just suspected and not yet confirmed. She said that she had family that had been in West Africa. Because of the patients reported symptoms and other factors, health officials decided the individual should be further evaluated by infectious disease specialists at an area hospital.
