□ EBOLA-IN-THE-AIR SCARE ...a HOAX □ Okay.... I dont know what people gain from throwing a scare by spreading false rumour! Have been receiving calls this a.m from friends frantically seeking advice on how to protect themselves against u know what. Now whats the cause of this recent blood chilling scare...??? That they heard a large dose of d virus was purposely released into the air, that people therefore should be on their guard, use hot salt water solution for their bath....blah blah blah #smh. Here is what is #WRONG with this new wave of trash 1. Ebola is not airborne. The virus does not survive outside a suitable host for long. 2. Mode of transmission is coming in contact with biological fluid[ blood, sweat, excreta, semen, vaginal secretions...etc ] of an infected person.Even so ,for the risk of transmission to be significant, the carrier has to be manifesting symptoms already. 3. Even if the scare is genuine and the virus is airbone, salt water bath aint gon do u no good unless u plan to be continously irrigating yourself with it cos you are continuously in contact with air! #Protective #Measures 1. Regular hand washing with soap, medicated preferably. 2. Use of Hand sanitizers 3. Bathing with water treated with disinfectants eg detol. 4. Stay away from people manifesting suspicious symptoms like fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, unexplained bleeding, rashes.... etc. 5. Report yourself if you start manifesting such symptoms yourself....it is a duty u owe to yourself, family, friends & humanity at large! #CONCLUSION The Ebola epidemic is scary as it is already, fuelling that scare with cheap rumours aint gon get us no where...instead its gonna worsen the outcome as spreading false information will only lead to the extinctionof genuine information.
