ECC Has Busy Day The Eddy County Commission met Tuesday in Carlsbad and commissioners spent nearly nine hours covering a lot of ground. Royce Pearson and Glen Collier say County Emergency Manager Joel Arnwine is stepping down to take a job at WIPP. During the interim, Kenny Rayroux and Rick Rudometkin will oversee emergency operations. Both men also say a public hearing on a proposed animal control ordinance will be held this evening at six at NMSU Carlsbad. Details for a hearing are still being worked out for the Artesia area.
