ECG delays load shedding timetable ‘indefinitely’ September 18, 2014 Ghanaians would have to deal with unannounced power outages following a notice from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) that it has suspended the release of the load shedding time table. According to the ECG, it had to hold on in order to prepare a reliable time table for Ghanaians. Ghana is currently undergoing a load shedding exercise due to the interruption of gas supply from Nigeria to Ghana through the West African Gas pipeline. The interruption was caused by labour unrests in Nigeria as workers have laid down their tools. The Energy and Petroleum Minister, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah earlier directed the ECG to release a time table to help citizens plan their lives in accordance with the schedule since the power rationing is due to intensify.
