ECM once again voted “Label Of The Year” by Jazz Journalists Association ECM Records has been voted “Label Of The Year” 2014 by the Jazz Journalists Association (JJA), an international non-profit corporation, promoting the interests of writers, photographers, broadcasters and new media professionals covering jazz. Their awards honor excellence in jazz music, recordings, presentation and journalism. It is the third consecutive win for the label after 2012 and 2013. Other winners include Craig Taborn as “Pianist Of The Year” whose record “Chants” was also nominated for “Record Of The Year” and Jack DeJohnette as “Traps Drummer of the Year” whose “Special Edition box set received a nomination for “Historical Record Of The Year”.
