The bay in which we used to swim, the two beautiful rivers to which the salmon returned every year and the fertile land that produced great food for all to eat.- While I was away at university, a copper mine operated briefly. This small open-pit mine leached poisons into the Tsolum River and KILLED ALL THE FISH IN THE RIVER, a beautiful tributary that once hosted a huge pink salmon run. - REMEMBER THAT THIS WAS JUST LEACHING , NOT THE WHOLESALE DUMPING OF POISON-LADEN TAILINGS INTO A HUGE WATER SYSTEM !!!! - CRIMINAL.
