ED attaches 37 flats, 41 plots at Saradha Gardens South 24-Parganas/Kolkata, 20 October: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today attached a huge property in Saradha Gardens, a housing project of the Saradha Group near Konchowki at Bishnupur in South 24 Parganas and identified more than 100 acres plot which were sold to more than one persons. A team comprising seven senior ED officials assisted by officials from the local block land and land revenue office visited the partly complete housing complex on a plot of 166 acre. Saradha Group chief Sudipto Sen had raised a huge sum of money from the market showcasing the housing complex from where the group had estimated a high profit. Sen had initiated his business as a real estate agent with purchase of the land in Bishnupur. Today the Central investigating agency attached the properties of Saradha Realty that include 37 flats and 41 plots. It may be mentioned that many people had bought flats and had got posession in the housing complex. We have nothing to do with the people who had bought flats and staying there. We have attached plots which are the Saradha Groups property, said a senior ED official adding that they would conduct another raid in the place withing next couple of days. More than 100 acres plot that the ED has identified today was reportedly sold to more than one persons. As a result the plot remained unaccounted with the local BL&LRO office. The ED officers found out that the possession right to sell out the plots were given to several persons through Saradha Realty. ED officials put up a public notice outside the property which bears an order that reads as from now on no one can sell or handover the property to someone else. The ED officers have also handed over a list containing details of the plots to BL&LRO. Some cars including an ambulance, which were the Saradha Group property, were also attached. The ED officials also spoke to the people residing in some of the flats in the housing complex and the security personnel to know whether they had seen any influential people, who had helped Sen to buy the plots, visiting the place. sns
