I very definitely understand the distress over the real name policy, among with other issues. I really would love to move off it, and have wanted to for some time. I just dont think Ello is the way to go. I do honestly feel that if more people started using Diaspora, it would see an explosion in functionality/user-friendliness. If there is some kind of vote on where to go, I vote for that option over yet another centralized, corporate-controlled social media system.
