EDITORS NOTE Dear Guns & Patriots reader, Once again, New Jersey gun owners are waiting on Gov. Christopher J. Christie to either sign or veto legislation that will strictly reduce gun rights in the Garden State. Christie still has fans among conservatives, but they should ask themselves, what is it about a guy, who will yell and scream at some kid at a town meeting, a teacher asking him a question or any and all reporters--but, will put out that he needs time and space to protect gun rights. How about a full-throated explanation to the people of New Jersey that armed citizens make New Jersey safer? Forget the breakdown of civil authority after Super Storm Sandy, how about the neighborhoods where tens of thousands of New Jersey residents, many of them children, are hostages to criminal elements? The police wont go in, but Christies subjects live there every day. Now the whole state is held hostage to Christies White House ambitions. The New York and Washington media thinks it can accept a Christie presidency, and certainly Wall Street is comfortable with a former lobbyist for Bernie Madoff. If Christie does veto the legislation, instead of thanking him for doing his job, he needs to be pressed to actually restoring to New Jersey residents they once enjoyed. On a more positive note, today is Medal of Honor Day. There are ceremonies here in Washington and around the country. Please check out the Medal of Honor Foundation and the work they do to preserve the legacy of this great military order. Enjoy! Neil McCabe signature Neil W. McCabe
