Barri Inaede: Sporadic Shooting and Protest in Okpella after PDP Ward Congress Information reaching me from a reliable source in Okpella has it that some youths in Okpella have taken to the street to protest the outcome of the just concluded ward congress. The rumour has it that the elders council handpicked their special candidates as against the most accepted ones who have majority support from the people. As we speak, according to the source, some of the youths have stormed the house of some of the political leaders in Okpella whom were believed to have manipulated the process with guns, shooting sporadically in the air. The source said the youths who came out in their numbers have called on the PDP to conduct open primaries for the four aspirants, thereby threatening to go back to APC since it has become obvious that the party has not changed from what made it lose the state to APC in 2007. Omokpo Celestine: DO WE STILL HAVE YOUTH WHO IDENTIFY WITH PDP IN EDO STATE? I DIDNT THINK SO! Barri, a leopard can never change its colour. I blame the dumb youth for waiting this long before coming to terms with the fact that the D in PDP means deception. At least, they know better now. But they should all be jailed for holding fire arms. Lest I forget, APC does not have use for such slow-learners who must have, in one way or the other, disrupted the peaceful running of the Edo State government by acting as PDP dare-devils.
