EDUCATION FOR EXCELLENCE “And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds” (Acts 7: 22). The first day at school could be so exciting and exhilarating in the experience of any child. Going to school, on the other hand, can be so demanding and challenging in many ramifications. Every caring parent, however, wants his children to go to school. There is no reasonable father or mother who will not desire a bright future for his/her child. The best legacy any parent can give his ward is education. Education remains as the best investment of the parents in the lives of the children. Youngsters who know this fact are known to making the best use of the great opportunity to learn. Education is, therefore, the right of every child but not every child has light of education. It is a great privilege for you to be a student. There are many brilliant teenagers in the various jungles of Nigeria who are yet not privileged to attend any school. You have a duty to maximize this great opportunity to be a student. You must make sure that you come out of your present college with a result worth-talking about to be excellent. That is the best way to appreciate your parents and justify the huge expenses they have incurred sending you to school. College education, among other things, is to help you to lay a solid foundation for your future life. It is when you achieve your goals for success that you have a good base for your future development. Let excellence be your target as you march forward on the road of success. You will achieve your goals by faith in God and by believing in yourself that you can.
