Eilleen Ovung Lotha from Dimapur Nagaland holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Leather Design from National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi, 2004 and graduated with B.A. (H) Economics from Indraprastha Women’s College, New Delhi, 2002 She started working as Senior Product Designer & Developer for BCC overseas New Delhi from July 2004 to November 2006 than moved on to start her own consultancy and since November 2006 and from July 2007 till December 2009 she worked as the Visiting faculty Leather design Department for National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) New Delhi and simultaneously she was also the designer Project coordinator (Crafts) with UNNAYAN, New Delhi. From January 2010 till April 2014 she began working for COLE HAAN India as Product Development Manager- INDIA (WACC & MACC), COLEHAAN INDIA LIASION OFFICE-(Jan 2010- JUNE 2010), NIKE SOURCING INDIA PVT.LTD (COLEHAAN)-(JUL 2010- Jan 2013), COLEHAAN (CALCEUS FASHION INDIA PVT.LTD)-(FEB2013- APRIL 2014) and was based at Chennai, India & Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Her Key areas of expertise includes Designing Products (Lifestyle Accessories, Bags, Belts, Jewellery and Corporate Gift items) for buyers (Europe & US) in accordance with Design Briefs matched with latest Fashion Forecasts as per season/ Own research/ material sourcing & exploration keeping in mind product price targets; product sampling and review, initial product costing, presentations, style documentation. Effective communication of Product Design Specifications/materials to Pattern Master & Sampling coordinator while developing products on time. Timely Check for Product quality. Planning & Overseeing Periodic Market research and survey activities. Analyzing latest trends, tracking competition and facilitating product improvement initiatives. Identify prospective clients, generate business from the existing buyers & thereby achieve business goals. She is now the Designer/ Owner of Eilleen Ovung Studio (EOS) started in May 2014, Designing and developing affordable Luxury Leather Handbags and Small leather goods for the domestic market. EOS represents timeless style and refined handcrafted products with a global aesthetic. EOS is primarily focusing on Women’s Handbags and accessories for Fall/Winter 2014 season. It also aims to make luxury accessible to women in Nagaland, India. EOS retails by appointment only in Dimapur, Nagaland and also through its FB page, Men’s Accessories is in the pipeline for future seasons. EOS has just started to show its products to the discerning Chennai customer and shall be retailing in Home &Style, an upmarket store in R.A. Puram Chennai. EOS designs with a global aesthetic and its products are extremely versatile. EOS Products are made of genuine Goat and Sheep leathers that are sourced from some of India’s finest tanneries.
