EISH!! Police in Zomba have arrested 22 year old Japhet Chatamba from Chinseu Village for killing his 46 year old wife, Dorothy Yusuf, with the wooden handle of an axe. Japhet, who married the woman, who already had 3 daughters from her previous marriage aged 26, 22 and 17 respectively, was not happy with the conduct of his step daughters who were allegedly involved in prostitution. Attempts by Japhet to discipline them were frustrated by his wife. This incensed Japhet so much to an extent that he took a wooden axe handle and constantly struck his wife until she collapsed and was confirmed dead at Chingale Health Centre.
