EKITI2014: NO PUSH-OVER AMONG THE THREE MAJOR - TopicsExpress

EKITI2014: NO PUSH-OVER AMONG THE THREE MAJOR CONTENDERS!!! Sequel to the charade the PDP called primary in Ekiti state, ekitiproject sampled peoples opinion in Ekiti state to access and confirm the rating of the three main contestants: Fayemi, Fayose and Bamimidele. Fortunately for Ekitikete these three contestants come with interesting resume that we can all be proud of! However, our findings were highly intriguing and surprising! If the response we got through verbal and electronic interactions with civil servants, artisans, drivers, market men /women, kabiyesis/chiefs, farmers and students is anything to be taken serious, the forthcoming election in Ekiti state promises to be dramatic. Fayemi and Bamidele have the support of most elites in Ekiti state on 60:40 ratio. The artisans, drivers and market men / women spreads their support for the trio: Fayose 40: Fayemi 30 and Bamidele 30%. The civil servants and students (youths in general) as well spread their support: Bamidele 45: Fayemi 30 and Fayose 25%. If civil servants are the only people that will vote in Ekiti state, Fayemi can not score 40%. If Ekiti elites are the only people that will vote in Ekiti state, Fayose can not score 30%. If political appointees / elected officials and their families and friends are the only people that will vote in Ekiti state, Bamidele can not score 30%. Unfortunately, most elites dont vote! Elites are only good at planning, strategising and commentaries but when it comes to actual voting they are never on the ground. From the above hypothesis the main batle may be between Bamidele and Fayose through their individual grassroot links, unless a miracle happen where the elites come out enmasse on election day and vote for Fayrmi. Though Fayose is in the majority within the artisans, drivers and market men / women the fact remains that most elders (Kabiyesis,Cheifs, elite and corporate citizens) do not like him. Bamidele does not have the majority of elites behind him but his support spread across all groups in Ekiti state. Many civil servants, artisans, drivers, market men /women, kabiyesis/chiefs, farmers, students and some political office holders (under Fayemi) believe-in and support Bamidele’s candidacy. Ekitiproject, without sounding immodest, we chose to flow with the trend and feelings of the generality of our people in the grassroots. The main beneficiary of good governance in every clime are the downtroddens and people in the grassroot. Therefore we are very proud of the divers nature of our peoples supports for the three main contenders. Ekitiproject, use this opportunity to plead and enjoin Ekitikete to preach and promote peace and hamony before, during and after the election. May the best man win. Ekiti a gbe a o!!
