ELDERS, POLITICS & CARTOONING When Mokalake (then Minister of Local Government) cartooned himself that he had de-recognised the DEFAULT Kgosikgolo of Bakgatla Ba Kgafela (Kgafela II), Kgama & his cronies like Skelemani, Dikgakgamatso, Molokomme, Siele, Batshu played to the gallery. They encouraged the victims (through state television) to report to the Police! Furthermore, some elders like Ray Matlapeng Molomo and Unity Dow later joined the chorus and shamed themselves by being anti-Kgafela. Kgafela II still remains Kgosikgolo of Bakgatla Ba Kgafela (even in his death). The same government started their drama on the King of Ngamiland. He left their club of actors and vowed to speak freely for his people. He was victimised, compromised, and continues to pay the heavy price....just for speaking for the people of Ngamiland! Recently, the head of the Political Racketeering club was being casual and reckless with the issue of our Game Reserve and Educational Park. At their dramatic meet, he insinuated that: Kgosikgolo Tawana II wants the Game Reserve for his personal interest, and that Kgosikgolo Letsholathebe II (Tawanas father) transferred the land to government in1979. Listen who is talking. The very one who owns PRIVATE investments on our land. Even if Kgosikgolo Tawana II wanted it for himself, who are they to complain? Who cares about Mosu and Khama Rhino Santuary? Akere ke maabane hela jaana a batla sediba se rraagwe a se rekisitseng, e bile a rometse badiri ba puso (outside their workplan) to go there and make assessment, so as to consider his options! Now, a certain elder of the village, who also happens to be the Regional Chairperson of this very melo-drama: goes around spreading this very untruth about Tawana II. Those of you close to him, remind him that we still respect him as an elder and a statesman from wayback. Ask him NOT to spoil the party. He has no moral grounds to withstand his diatribe on our DEFAULT leader. Neither does he have the backbone to paddle our retribution to his venomous untruth. We notice that he is playing to the gallery too, to entice his masters. We all know how the Ministry of Education spent millions accommodating teachers of Shakawe SSS at his hotel for the whole year! We all know that all events, activities and unnecessary gatherings costing millions are held at his hotel, just to donate public money to him, so that he cangive-back to the party (to fund elections)! Is he returning the favour? Please warn him that if our issues are way above his comprehension, he must step back and stop telling our people half-baked and reckless things. We have been watching him and the government departments closely, as they publicly engage in business bias. This also tells why he fought so hard to represent both the party and BOCCIM at both regional and branch structures. A clear case of Conflict of Interest, to stop BOCCIM members from lodging complaints of unfair business practices. Documentation exists to prove that the issues of the tribe are for the whole community, and that the resolution of the tribe at the kgotla meeting in 1979 NEVER handed the property of the tribe to government. They must let Kgosikgolo Letsholathebe II to rest in peace. Our parents have been visiting Qwhiihaba before 1953, and 1976. At those places before they were born, and before Botswana Defence Force came into being, the caves were more risky and dangerous. Today in 2014, we are told how dangerous the caves are for us to visit. We are also told how only army-trained men can go to the caves because of the snakes which existed wayback when our parents visited the caves: before the army existed! Just recently, Mogomotsi Kaboeamodimo was at these very dangerous & risky caves, where only army-trained can go. Which army trained the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Broadcasting Journalist)? Mogomotsi and his BTV crew are just ordinary people, who (worse still) never lived on our caves! What is wrong with these people?!? LIES HAVE SHORT LEGS!! Morwa Mokenane Kgosing Ward (Maun)
