ELECTION REPORT — AS OF 10 P.M. As preliminary numbers begin to trickle in, incumbent Michael Weir Jr. leads the field of Democratic candidates for House of Delegates, with former Baltimore City Councilman Nicholas DAdamo and former delegate Jake Mohorovic currently in position to take the other two House slots on the Democratic side, with Ed Crizer and Anna Pearce close behind. On the Republican side, 2010 nominees Bob Long and Ric Metzgar lead the House field, with Robin Grammer holding a narrow lead over Roger Zajdel and Dan Liberatore for the third spot on the ticket. Del. John Olszewski Jr. shows a solid lead over Russ Mirabile for the Democratic nomination for state Senate, with Johnny Ray Salling unopposed for the GOP slot. In the 7th District County Council contest, Joseph DiCara has taken an early lead for the Democratic nomination, closely followed by Brian Weir, C.O. Buddy Staigerwald, Scott Holupka and Ron Yeatman. The winner will face Republican Todd Crandell in November. In the race for county executive, incumbent Kevin Kamenetz has a clear lock on the Democratic nomination, while Republicans Tony Campbell and George Harman are neck and neck for their partys nod. In statewide races, the Associated Press has projected that Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown will win the Democratic nomination for governor of Maryland. Early numbers from the state Board of Elections show him with over 55 percent of the vote, while Attorney General Douglas Gansler and Del. Heather Mizeur have approximately 20 percent of the vote each. Larry Hogan currently leads Republican candidates with a plurality of 42.9 percent, trailed by David Craig at 30 percent. In the Democratic primary for Attorney General, state Sen. Brian Frosh hold a clear lead over state delegates Jon Cardin and Aisha Braveboy.
