ELI IS STILL WAITING! He has been in rescue for 5 months now! Please share :) Meet our big boy of rescue, Eli aka Big E! He is a 80(ish) pound American Bulldog/Staffie/Pit mix that we pulled from the New Britian, CT shelter. Eli is around 4 years old. Eli was originally found running around as a stray, making his way between a few different towns, by the time he was caught in the city this fella was exhausted, dirty and skinny! Those days are in the past! Eli has been in a wonderful foster home since Memorial Day. He is quite the gentleman, who knows all his basic commands, loves to be around his people and loves his belly rubs! Eli loves to play tug of war, fetch and chew on his toys. He is non destructive in the house and potty trained. He takes treats gently, gives you paw and plenty of wet kisses. Eli has been working with several trainers and friends of the rescue (Deb Monde, and John Gagnons) on his leash skills and social skills. He is doing wonderfully and is eager to learn and please. He is a stunning dog who catches the attention of every passer by with his unique looks and soulful eyes. Eli was a shelter favorite and is becoming a favorite of everyone he meets these days. Eli is up to date with vaccines and neutered.
