All family members are welcome to take advantage of free health screenings (including blood pressure and glucose checks). “On behalf of Walmart and the Walmart Foundation, we are proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Tarrant County Back to School Roundup which impacts so many children in the Fort Worth area as they get ready to head back to school in the fall,” said Curtis Scheffe, Walmart market manager. “Walmart is passionate about helping people live better and making a positive impact where we live and work. We know this event will help thousands of Tarrant County children and their families get what they need to have a great start to the school year.” Educational information, in English and Spanish, will be offered at community resource booths focused on literacy, parenting, nutrition, financial literacy, fire safety and social services. Representatives from Tarrant County schools will be on hand to answer questions and distribute materials on reading programs, psychological and social services, and family literacy.
