ELIORS BIOGRAPHY Inspiration The creation of Elior Swimwear was inspired by all the Hollywood movies from the 1950s and before that I use to watch over and over again growing up. There was Fred Astair, Ginger Rogers, Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Grace Kelly, Gene Kelly and Sophia Loren. Theres nothing like watching a flowing evening gown flutter in all its frills while its wearer is being waltzed around an expansive dance floor. There was also all the musicals like South Pacific, State Fair, Singing in the Rain, Daddy Long Legs and even Gidget who surfs in gorgeous little vintage numbers. Why Swimwear? My first summer collection was designed to bring an alternative to the usual beach experience of flip flops and a string bikini. Instead I designed well fitting classical pieces that have a sense of elegance and celebrates the female form which abounds with curves. The design features are ruching and panelling which enhance a shapely waistline as well as strap details and throws that are all about comfort while keeping it stylish and fresh. Future I will be looking at making this collection available for Summer 2014 with an online store. Im also looking at getting re-inspired, maybe going travelling, working with other fashion labels and creatives and of course Im always on the look out for exciting opportunities happening in our humble yet thriving little community of Brisbane. So for all my friends who have liked this page thank-you for your support, Ive been longing to show you this collection. Hope youve enjoyed getting a sneak preview into next summers launch. I am however offering to make bespoke swimsuits, so you can have the opportunity to get that perfect fit especially for one pieces. For example if your a size 12 on the top and a size 14 on the bottom or vis-versa, then come to me and be probably fitted so you can have a pair of bathers that fits your particular body shape and nobody elses. For bespoke swimsuits you are looking at $350 plus, otherwise if your wanting a standard size, good things happen to those who wait, Ill keep you updated about the online store and where the stockists are.
