ELKO — An all terrain vehicle hit a sedan on Jiggs Highway Saturday afternoon and the sedan overturned, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol report. Randy Baker, 31, of Spring Creek was driving west on Jiggs Highway in his Can-Am Maverick side-by-side and attempted to make a left turn onto a dirt road, the report said. At the same time, Christy Dike, 39, also of Spring Creek, was trying to pass the ATV in a passing zone in her Hyundai Accent sedan and the ATV reportedly struck her vehicle’s front side. The sedan went off the road and overturned before landing on its wheels. Baker was uninjured. Dike was transported to Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital with a neck injury. The report said citations were pending.
