I agree it is totally troubling when any government goes to extreme and unprecedented levels to cater for a single group in the community. As we are all aware, PM Abbott held a meeting with Islamic Leaders to thrash out proposed terror laws. Given the laws will affect every single Australian, a legitimate question is why is a special ear been provided to the islamic community??? It is well beyond time for frankness and honesty. When is it going to be acknowledged and stressed that it is MEMBERS OF THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY and ONLY them that have placed Islam under Scrutiny? When will the muslim community be directly told It is solely the ACTIONS of your fellow MUSLIMS that have the entire world legitimately scrutinising Islam and the potent threat it poses to civilised nations.? Since the evil act of 9/11 by Osama Bin Laden and crew, a growing number of people have grown fearful of islam and the muslim community. We in Australia are told by our politicians to accept & respect the people that hate us while we are living in a state of an eminent act of terror on home soil Politicians have no regard for those of us that abandoned our homelands to escape Islamic persecution, are we to pretend it was all just a bad dream? Do ye prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter. Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place. Quran (9:41) - Go forth, light-armed and heavy-armed, and strive with your wealth and your lives in the way of Allah! That is best for you if ye but knew.
