It seems tht after d initial christening by d spearheads, d bandwagon effect has ensured tht others accordingly follow suit evn though this designation is wrong. When u spell out d months of d 4th quarter of d yr namely, SeptemBER, OctoBER, NovemBER & DecemBER, u will obseve tht d only commonality amongst them is BER & not EMBER as d OctoBER within is devoid of d EM morpheme. It wud hav been a different case if OctoBER were in d fringe. In which case it wud hav been correct 2 refer 2d 1st or last 3 months of d quarter as EMBER MONTHS.
