EMBRACE...INSPIRE.. REWARD Teen Scholarship! With the new school year and pageant year beginning I had to sit back and think about all I hope to achieve. My individual platform E.N.D.D -embracing not defining disabilities is a message I have wanted to share with so many. The new Season of Coaching Special Olympics had begun for me and I continue to learn to love and learn from the athletes...... BUT!! How can inspire others to step out of their comfort zone and embrace this same concept? So with that being said I Challenge every Teen to look for opportunities to get to know, to work together with, to lend a hand, give an hour some how some way in your community to those individuals with a disability. I would also like to include any Volunteer time with our national platform CMN. This can be in your Local schools..ARC programs, Special Olympics, recreational centers, Miracles in Motion, Challenger Leagues, Miss Amazing. I am sure I am missing many more!!! If you are looking to compete in Miss VAOT 2015 my family and Ms. Linda Haas will be giving a $500 Scholarship to the Teen who has offered the most hours embracing these wonderful individuals.. You can begin today....I know none of you have won your Local pageant as of yet but you can start logging your hours now. I will be keeping a spreadsheet with your name and the hours you have Volunteered. All I ask of you is to INBOX me with: Your Name: Who/What/Where: #Number of Hours: If you have any Questions about your status..(as I will not Share others) please just ask!! These hours might be a great way for you to start looking into working towards The Duke Of Edinburghs award as well. I highly recommend this and if you need help or information about that you can contact me or Courtney McLawhorn (board member of Miss VA). We will be happy to help! I promise you these hours will inspire a change in YOU!! Blessings...CASEY
