EMEKA IHEDIOHA BEGS OKOROCHA FOR APC OWERRI SENATORIAL - TopicsExpress

EMEKA IHEDIOHA BEGS OKOROCHA FOR APC OWERRI SENATORIAL TICKET Emeka Ihedioha paid unscheduled visit to Imo Governor His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha at the Governors lodge in Abuja last week. The purpose of the visit to the Governor was not unconnected with the incessant plea and request by Emeka Ihedioha to be given soft-landing in the APC fold considering the happenings in the PDP. When asked what prompted the recent move Emeka Ihedioha, one of Ihediohas aides who spoke with me on conditions of anonymity and who was also present during the visit to the Governor confirmed the fact that his principal was apprehensive of what is now happening in the PDP both in Abuja and Imo.A situation where some few individuals want to manipulate the processes and as well hijack the party in Imo. Emeka Ihediohas aide further stated that inorder to remain politically relevant in 2015 general elections and inorder not to be schemed out in the scheme of things, his principal(Ihedioha) had to against all odds consider approaching Governor Rochas Okorocha to be given soft-landing in the All Progressives Congress(APC) where the Governor is a National leader. Emeka Ihedioha is considering settling for Imo East Senatorial District(Owerri Zone) on another platform owing to the plans of the former Governor Ikedi Ohakim and other bigwigs in PDP to distablize the party. Ihediohas request was said to have hit brick walls as there was no concrete and positive answers from the Governor who asked him to go,while he consults with the leadership of The All Progressives Congress(APC) at the National and Imo State. It could be recalled that the Governor had before this time asked Emeka Ihedioha to defect to the APC.But,Ihedioha refused due to his apprehensiveness as regards losing his position as Deputy Speaker,House Of Representatives.
