EMO Argyle has released the following public service announcement: EMO Argyle wishes to advise the residents of Quinan that due to recent heavy rainfall, the waters of both the Quinan and Tusket rivers have risen significantly in the past few days and are expected to continue to rise for a few more days. More rainfall is also expected. Please be advised the situation is being closely monitored and we will immediately advise residents on any emergency situations. We strongly recommend that residents, in any potential emergency, prepare to stay in place for at least 72 hours having sufficient supplies on hand to be self-sufficient for those 72 hours. Please visit the Canadian Red Cross website, redcross.ca for more information on 72 Hour Emergency Preparedness. Please continue to monitor the media for updates."
