EMPLOYABLE RELATIONSHIP Nancy was an athletic promising young woman; she grew up in a loving home and attended an Ivy League school. You have never met an amiable young lady with keen sense of vision and plans for future. But few years into college, her life had become a wreck. She had picked up destructive habits and was deep neck-deep into crack cocaine and freelancing prostitution. Her life began to spiral downward the first time she met Karen who introduced her to Andrew. Andrew would later become the boyfriend of Nancy. Paul made it clear to the Spirit filled believers in Corinth; don’t be deceived, bad company corrupts good manner. There are friendships that God can’t make use of in your life. After salvation, the next most important thing in your life is the company that you keep. We can never undermine the power of relationship as God would not be able to do much in our lives but through the relationship that he brings into our lives. When we are not in the right company, we stampede the move of the Spirit. Daniel had to surround himself in Babylon with good friends. Question you must answer: Are the friends dear to you useful to God to move you up? When Abraham went with Lot, he lost his vision. The moment Lot walked away, his vision was restored. And the LORD said unto Abram, AFTER THAT LOT WAS SEPARATED FROM HIM, Lift up now your eyes, and look from the place where you are (Gen13:14). The company of Lot never appeared harmful, but Hebrew word Lot means a covering. Impliedly, the vision of Abraham was covered and our destiny at stake when they travelled together. Take inventory of your friends. If the company of friends you keep are unemployable to God, you must seek change and find the right ones. The most important person in your life is the person that feeds your faith and the vilest person feeds your fear’. I pray God will separate you from every unfriendly friend, in Jesus name.
